Future

The Spirit of Sport is a living piece of public art. Some of the tiles will change over time to allow Bolton’s new sporting heroes to be honoured and to recognise sporting achievements in the years to come.

In February 2010 the Council announced the names of 50 new sporting heroes whose images and biographies have been added to the website. It is anticipated that their tiles will be added to the bottom of the sculpture in July/August 2010.
